11/05/2010 - May 2010 Newsletter

Welcome to our second newsletter.

It has been a busy month at Insight, with the customer seminars and Wi-Fi briefings in Manchester, Edinburgh and London combined with quite a busy month from an implementation and installation perspective.

Customer seminars 2010

What did you think of the customer seminars in April 2010? We thought they were a great success and enjoyed the chance to meet with so many of our customers! Feedback like "An interesting day, usefully spent",

"Honest and no hard sell" and "Excellent event, well worth the journey" make it all worth while. For more comments on the day click here

If you didn't attend, please could you let me know why? Was it the date, the location, the venue or something else? I would be really interested to know, so we can take your views into consideration for next time. We really want to make the events accessible to as many customers as possible.

 CILIPs Annual Conference

I am looking forward to visiting the Mitchell Library in Glasgow again, this time for the CILIPs 2010 Annual Conference which will be from the 7th - 9th June. Unfortunately I won't be attending all three days but I will be on the exhibition stand for the first two days.

The conference is a great event and provides us with the opportunity to see existing and prospective customers. If you are attending the conference this year then please come and see us. For additional information visit our CILIPs news article.

East Lothian Council implements wireless in 12 libraries

All 12 libraries are now offering Wi-Fi access, thanks to a £34,000 grant from the Scottish Government's Public Library Quality Improvement Fund. Five companies submitted tenders for the work and Insight Media was chosen, read full article here.

Wi-Fi Briefings 2010

This is the third year we have arranged Wi-Fi Briefing Seminars. They were held in April in Manchester, Edinburgh and London and once again they were a great success with delegates.

Almost 50% of UK Library authorities have already implemented wireless. Have you implemented wireless in your libraries? If you would like to understand more, I’d be delighted to talk you through the benefits, so please get in touch.

Well that's all for now. I have two weeks holiday to look forward to, but don't worry I will have access to email, so I will be keeping an eye out for your responses and feedback!
