Wi-Fi in Libraries Survey 2009

During the early part of 2009, Insight Media commissioned research into the use of wireless Internet access in Public Libraries across the UK. This research followed from an earlier survey performed in June 2007.

The survey has shown a clear and steady increase in wireless use with over 45 percent of library authorities now having implemented public Wi-Fi in some way. Enhancing the library service was the main reason given for why libraries have, or are considering to implement Wi-Fi.
