BIC is leading the supplier community in the development of the Library Communication Framework (LCF), a set of library interoperability standards defining a framework for the communication of data between self-service and other library terminal applications to and from library management systems.
We are keen supporters of LCF and see many benefits to suppliers, libraries and end users in terms of enhanced service delivery, improved interoperability, enhanced analytics and greater control over charges and payments. Insight Media is part of the LCF Consortium, a group of library industry organisations that publicly, fully endorse, support and promote the adoption and use of LCF.
