Biggleswade Library re-opens with enhanced services

Updated: Nov 23, 2023

Biggleswade Library in Central Bedfordshire recently re-opened after a programme of refurbishment and improvement works.

The work included improving the library layout to make better use of the space, a larger children’s area, an improved IT zone, more study space, and improved W-Fi. Additional services are now available to members and visitors including a registration service, a weekly banking advice centre, and the Biggleswade Children’s Centre.

The refurbishment also includes the implementation of iCAM Wireless Cloud Print software which allows library members to print documents from their own mobile devices. Customers log in to a dedicated site for Central Bedfordshire libraries, upload their documents and then visit their chosen library to pay for and collect their documents. Along with the improvements to the library’s Wi-Fi and IT zone, this gives library users a much enhanced service for their PC, IT and printing requirements.
