Harrow Public Libraries enhance print offering with Wi-Fi printing

Following a project in 2021 to upgrade the library service’s IT systems, which included the implementation of iCAM Workstation Control, Internet Booking Module and Printer Control, Harrow Public Libraries decide to further improve the digital services for their users by introducing Wi-Fi printing.

We worked with Harrow to install iCAM Wireless Cloud Print in Greenhill Library and, once up and running, we then added the library to our print locator website www.PrintMyDocuments.com to help members of the public search for their nearest library offering iCAM Wi-Fi printing.

At Greenhill Library visitors can now use their own devices to print documents to the library printers, a service that was increasingly being requested. The system is compatible with Android and Apple phones and tablets plus Windows laptops, MacBooks, and Chrome Books, and allows printing of a range of document formats including photographs, web pages, and web-based email.

Cllr Jean Lammiman – Portfolio Holder for Community and Culture at the London Borough of Harrow said: “Library users can now enjoy the convenience of printing direct from their own devices, either whilst in the library or from home, rather than having to log on to a library PC, with no need for separate log-ins, a real bonus for residents.”
