North Ayrshire Libraries extend app offer with iCAM services

Library apps are an increasingly popular service for libraries to offer their members as more and more of us use mobile apps to help us carry out day-to-day tasks such as banking, shopping and travel.

By introducing an app, libraries can enable their members to search the library catalogue, reserve and renew books, find a local library, check opening times, or access digital services, as well as access wider council services.

North Ayrshire Libraries use iCAM for a range of member services, including PC session bookings, printing, and Wi-Fi printing. To make accessing these services even easier for their members, they have included them in their library app.

The app is user-friendly and convenient and enables users to seamlessly access the services they need.

For Wi-Fi printing, documents can be uploaded in seconds, ready to be collected from the member's chosen library. Once at the library, the user's document can be manipulated if required (select / de-select pages, choose black and white, colour, A4 or A3) and is released by staff when paid for.

For PC session bookings, members can select their chosen library, date and time to make a booking, or access an existing booking to amend or cancel it if required.
